Have an idea or story that will light the way for your colleagues? Don’t delay: Program proposals for the 2019 Long Island Library Conference are open! The next Long Island Library Conference will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at the Melville Marriot. The conference theme for this year is “Lighting the Way.”
At this time, we are asking the Library Associations and Divisions to submit their proposed program offerings.
To assist in your planning, please note that the tentative schedule for the day is as follows:
8:00am – 8:30am Registration
8:00am – 9:00am Exhibits
9:00am – 10:00am Program Session I
10:00am – 10:30am Exhibits
10:30am – 11:30am Program Session II
11:30am – 12:30pm Exhibits
12:30pm – 2:30pm Buffet Lunch & Keynote
2:30pm – 3:00pm Exhibits
3:00pm – 4:00pm Program Session III

Attendees who participated in the full day of conference programs earned four hours of continuing education credit. The conference does not give out certificates so please make sure to retain the confirmation of your registration and the conference brochure for your records.
Many of our speakers have shared copies of their presentations, handouts, and related materials, which can be found on our Programs page.
After a brief rest, the all-volunteer conference planning committee will begin preparing for the 44th annual conference. It takes a year to put the finishing touches on Long Island’s largest conference for those who work in and for libraries.

You still can attend the conference, just come prepared! Same day registration must be paid by cash or check only. The fee is $90.00 per person.
Bring your cash or check to the On-site Registration Desk near the entrance of the exhibit area in the Melville Marriott. Registration will open at 8am.
The conference exhibit floor is sold out! There’s still time to reserve your space in our conference brochure but you must act quickly. Purchase your space by April 10 and submit your artwork by Monday, April 16 and your ad will be in the hands of every attendee and exhibitor at the conference. Click here for more information.
Attendees will be able to meet with a wide variety of associations that serve our library community. If you represent an association and have a question about participating at the conference, please email LILCAssoc@gmail.com.
