Pre-registration for the 44th Long Island Library Conference will be ending on May 1st. While you are absolutely welcome to attend without registering ahead of time, the price for same-day registration is $100.

We’re Partnering with United Veterans Beacon House this year!

This year we encourage all conference attendees to bring donations for the United Veterans Beacon House. Donations of toiletries and hygiene products are especially needed, but they also accept food and clothing.

United Veterans Beacon House is a Long Island 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1994 that is committed to serving homeless and at-risk U.S. Veterans. The agency fulfills its mission by providing emergency, temporary and permanent housing and specialized support services to veterans in need. As the premier provider of veterans housing, haven to 550 veteran residents annually. With a passionate commitment, Beacon House provides our veterans with the necessary coping skills for their successful return to independent living. Submit Your Program Proposals for the 2019 Conference

The next Long Island Library Conference will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at the Melville Marriot. The conference theme for this year is “Lighting the Way.”

At this time, we are asking the Library Associations and Divisions to submit their proposed program offerings.

To assist in your planning, please note that the tentative schedule for the day is as follows:

8:00am – 8:30am Registration
8:00am – 9:00am Exhibits
9:00am – 10:00am Program Session I
10:00am – 10:30am Exhibits
10:30am – 11:30am Program Session II
11:30am – 12:30pm Exhibits
12:30pm – 2:30pm Buffet Lunch & Keynote
2:30pm – 3:00pm Exhibits
3:00pm – 4:00pm Program Session III
